Visibility outside is about 1500 meters obscured by the ‘yellow dust’ that blows in off the deserts of China and picks up lord only knows what kind of junk on the way over. It makes my eyes hurt.
So it’s a good time to stay inside and make a blog entry I think…
It’s been a little over a week and a half since I unveiled the new FS2Crew website.
Thank you for all the positive feedback I’m getting on it! I’m glad you all seem to like it.
It’s been a mega-busy time for me (we bought a new apartment, which, ranging from the realtor who showed up half-drunk to the fact that no one here speaks English in a meaningful way) made for an interesting challenge. Not to mention the fact that the process for buying real-estate (and the general way of understanding and doing real-estate here) is totally different from what I’m accustomed to.
Still, I managed to find the time to get Service Update 1 for the Airbus Special Edition out the door.
The big thing with Update 1 is that it adds FS2Crew support for the A332 models. I also made squashed a few little outstanding bugs.
Another change is that I also made the Special Edition available for purchase via the Flight1 E-Commerce Wrapper.
Currently PayPal is our main payment processor, but we needed a backup because PayPal doesn’t work in every country and because some people don’t like PayPal for whatever reason.
The link to the Flight1 E-Commerce version is right above ‘Available Options’ on the Special Edition product info page.
So what’s happening with the FSX Flight1 ATR version?
I get asked this a lot.
What can I say? It’s almost done. I promise! I’m hoping for a release within the next 2 weeks, but don’t hold me to that. If it’s not as perfect as I can make it, it doesn’t get released. Simple as that.
The big change from the FS9 Version of the ATR is that I’ve incorporated new updated panel graphics with night lighting, assigned joystick and keyboard buttons, I tightened the code here and there, re-worked some things, and so on. Unlike the current FS9 ATR version, you will not need to load a default aircraft first.
Gotta run!
